🏰 Based in Edinburgh
I spent this weekend and exploring some hidden places in Edinburgh, including the Advocate’s Library in the Old Town. What a magical place, any bibliophile’s dream ✨📚 It’s not open to the public, but you can see the outside behind Saint Giles Cathedral.
It was founded in 1682 and officially opened in 1689 by Sir George McKenzie. It also served as the National Library of Scotland until 1925.
Thoughts on why our environment is so important for our mental health, and the obsessive appeal of stone villages.
Davenport Desks for the win - perfect if you need a touch of whimsy and a lot of storage! Antique pieces can be found for as little as $40.
Welcoming September in Edinburgh is a magical experience all on its own 🍁✨

The Juniper tree has a long history of being associated with myth and legend. Ancient peoples would throw Juniper berries on funeral piles, and burning the twigs of the Juniper tree was believed to bring households protection against evil spirits. 💀
Historically, doctors believed that the juice of the Juniper berry was a natural disinfectant.
Today, the Juniper berry is primarily used for producing gin 🍸
