The first hurdle of every season is qualifying at the national trials, now onwards for the start of their 4 year Olympic cycle.
A chance to build solid foundations and preparation over the next season.
Just like the rest of the club they will keep working hard to make the improvements to win! 🏆
British Ice Skating names Short Track ISU World Tour team for the first half of the 2026/27 season Seven skaters have been selected to represent Great Britain across World Tour 1-5, following the Performance Selection Event in Nottingham.

*Returning Skater and New Skaters welcome*
Next week and the week after, we are having Return to Ice / Introductory 🧊 sessions, where Group 3 will go through some drills and fun excercises. It’s a great session for those who have been off over the summer or trying out the sport to have a no pressure, fun return.
Come in your tracksuit, half ice hockey kit ie leg pads and gloves.

Super proud of Niall Treacy’s season!
If you are a competent skater, can get around without the barriers, then we have limited spaces in our under 16 group for the coming season - drop the club a message for a trial session.

A day off or extra off ice?!
Throwback to the GB team coming for a skate with us in 2020, many Mohawks back having a skate on home ice.
Joined by world champion Elise Christie, my team mate and Jo’s - they won a European Chamionship relay gold together in Latvia.
Back then Ad jr was a Jr, Farrell had been to 1 Olympics and was due his 2nd and would make the 1500m Olympic final in Beijing still recovering from covid, Niall was emerging but would still be 2 years before making his 1st Olympics!
Amazing professionalism, they turned up, warmed up, did pads, committed to our session and got pads off, with smiles, great times and many more to come. Not to mention our Master also former Olympians Rob and Steve mixing it up and passing on the baton!
There’s not many training sessions like a top Mohawks training session, we had group 2 and 3 in the middle sharing the track taking it all in!
We have room in the under 16’s group for new skaters, wear any type of skates you want, joggers etc - drop the page a message !
