Speaking to lots of new prospects this week, and I am still surprised (or maybe not so surprised), at how many telecoms companies are offering 7 year contracts.
In my opinion, there should never be any need to tie anyone into a 7 year contract, especially not for something as simple as a small phone system and a broadband line.
Technology changes. Businesses change. Requirements change.
My advice would be before signing anything, check the contract length and what it would cost to leave early.
84 months is a big commitment in a fast-moving industry.

It's definitely felt like 'woman down' this week...I think the winter bugs have started early, probably due to my 4 year old starting reception (and absolutely nothing to do with overdoing it on my birthday weekend!).
However, was still kept busy with lots of quotes for the new iPhone 18, three networking events attended and three new customers onboarded.
Also chuffed to get another great Google review from one of my customers, very much appreciated!

It's becoming a bit of a tradition on a Thursday to share the latest customer reviews..and I am proud to have two more this week on our Google page.
Good customer service always remains my top priority, Sole Traders and SME's deserve this, but don't always get it from the larger players.

Today has been 'one of those days!' as the saying goes with one thing after another....but thankfully it ended better than it started 🙃.
A couple of little things cheered me up - firstly, I am not one of those people who nominates myself for Business awards, I don't think I have the confidence for that yet....but I was pleasantly surprised to get an e-mail this morning from Zoe Wadsworth informing me Good Connections Telecom Ltd has received not one, but two nominations so far for 'best new business'. So whoever nominated me for this category, thanks..I know Zoe is very well connected and probably deals with loads of new start ups every day so it is an honour.
I also logged onto my Google Business Profile and am now deemed important enough for AI to write a summary of my services, and, I sound pretty good!
Onwards and upwards... 🙂
