UHAS Basic School
UHAS Basic School (UBS) was established to provide quality education primarily to children of staff of the University.
This is to attract and retain top talented staff from all over the world.
Everyday English enables learners to accurately say the names of familiar classroom objects. Correct pronunciation enhances learners' speaking, listening, and overall communication abilities.
At UHAS Basic School, students are encouraged to pronounce classroom items clearly and with confidence during classroom activities. Regular practice of these words helps learners develop fluency in English and communicate more effectively in the school environment.
The Junior High Department of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Basic School undertook an educational trip to Accra on Thursday, June 18, 2026, to reinforce classroom learning through practical experiences.
As part of the trip, the learners visited the Parliament House of Ghana, where they observed parliamentary proceedings and gained a better understanding of how the country's legislature operates.
The visit also provided the learners with the opportunity to see some of Ghana's national symbols, which they had studied under the strand Culture and National Identity.
Experiencing these important institutions firsthand helped to deepen their understanding of the topics covered in class.
The learners described the trip as both informative and motivating. They expressed great enthusiasm about the opportunity to explore Ghana's key national institutions and historical landmarks in person, making the learning experience more meaningful and memorable.
