Rev. Wengam urges Assemblies of God,Ghana members to mobilise for the 2026 World Congress.

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, has called on pastors, leaders and members of the church to intensify their efforts towards the successful hosting of the 10th Triennial Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship in Ghana.

Rev. Wengam made the call on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Cedar Mountain Chapel in Accra, where he officially launched the World Congress at the local church level. The global congress, scheduled for October 14 to 16, 2026, will bring together about 10,000 pastors, ministers and church leaders from Assemblies of God churches across the world.

Historical
Ghana is hosting the congress for the first time, in the 110-year history of the Assemblies of God Fellowship, with the main activities expected to take place at the Independence Square and the Accra Sports Stadium.

He recalled that on November 14, 2025, the Global Chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, Rev. Dominic Yeo, officially launched the 10th Triennial Congress at the Lancaster Hotel in Accra.

DAY 3 OF REV. WENGAM’S SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT AT THE NATIONAL PASTORS’ CONFERENCE OF ETHIOPIA ASSEMBLIES OF GOD.

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as a guest speaker at the National Pastors’ Conference of Ethiopia Assemblies of God.

On Day Three of the conference, Rev. Stephen Wengam preached a sermon titled “Fresh Fire for the Great Commission Assignment.” The sermon was characterised by rich biblical teaching, supernatural impartation and an intense prayer session.

In addition, Rev. Wengam, on behalf of his family, made a personal donation of US$500 to support church planting and US$200 towards a church building project in Ethiopia.
The General Superintendent also donated the honorarium offered to him by the Ethiopia Assemblies of God to support the church’s home missions.

The National Council of Ethiopia Assemblies of God, led by its leadership, honoured Rev. Stephen Wengam with a traditional Ethiopian outfit and presented him with a citation of appreciation, along with other gifts, in recognition of his service as guest preacher.

The General Superintendent of Ethiopia Assemblies of God, Rev. Ayansa, commended Rev. Wengam for exceeding their expectations and ushering the conference into a season of great revival.
