Following the successful four-day teacher training workshop, Literacy & Development through Partnership (LDP) continued its commitment to improving literacy outcomes by distributing Dagbani literacy books to 16 schools across the Sagnarigu Municipality, Kumbungu District, and Tolon District. The two-day distribution exercise, held on 5th and 10th June 2026, was met with great enthusiasm from both teachers and learners who received the books. This resource will support effective classroom instruction and provide children with greater opportunities to develop strong reading and writing skills in their mother tongue (Dagbani).
LDP believes that empowering schools with quality training and materials is essential to building a solid foundation for lifelong learning. We are grateful to the Ghana Education Service, Luminos Fund, SISOs, teachers, and all our partners for their continued collaboration and support in improving literacy outcomes for children in our communities.
Together, we are nurturing a generation of confident readers and lifelong learners.

Breaking barriers, one language at a time!
Literacy & Development through Partnership (LDP) is championing Mother Tongue Education in Dagbon. By teaching children in Dagbani, their own language, LDP is making learning more natural, more meaningful, and more effective. When children understand their lessons in the language they speak at home, they learn faster, stay in school longer, and build stronger foundations for their future.
