Emancipation reminds us of the importance of breaking free from colonial control, standing firmly on our own and joining our fellow comrades in building a future rooted in independence, unity and strength.

Scoop Ride Inc. joins the people of Guyana in mourning the devastating MV Barima tragedy. We extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to every family who has lost a loved one, to those anxiously awaiting news, and to all persons affected by this painful national tragedy. During this period of mourning, we stand together in compassion, prayer and solidarity, asking for comfort, strength and healing for the bereaved, the survivors and our country as a whole. May the memories of those lost be honoured, and may every affected family feel the support of a nation grieving alongside them.

Our Prayers Are with everyone affected by the MV Barima maritime disaster.

At this most tragic time, we join all Guyanese in hoping and praying for the safe rescue and return of passengers and crew who was aboard this vessel when it capsized during the night.

From News Outlets:
Reports indicate that 67 persons, including 15 children, have been rescued, while search-and-rescue operations continue. There have also been varying reports regarding the total number of persons who may have been aboard the vessel, adding to the concern and uncertainty being felt across the country.

Our hearts cry for everyone who experienced this terrifying ordeal, many of whom would have been asleep when the tragedy struck in darkness! It is impossible to imagine what was going through their minds as they were awakened to chaos and uncertainty as to what was happening.

We pray for the rescue teams from the GDF, Police, MARAD, OMNI, private operators and organizations who are actively involved in assisting with the ongoing operation.
