New resource added to our Resource Hub ‼️
Plain language means communicating information in a way that is clear, straightforward and easy for people to understand and use. It considers not only the words used, but also how information is organised and presented, so readers can quickly find and understand what they need.
The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) promotes the use of plain English across Ireland and supports organisations to communicate more clearly.
NALA provides a range of plain English editing, training and support services to help make information accessible to everyone.

On 3 September, we were delighted to bring Safe to Create’s Introduction to Intercultural Competence training, delivered by Beatriz Gómez Moreno, GORM, to VISUAL Carlow.
It was fantastic to be in the room with such an engaged group, who brought insight and valuable perspectives to the session.
This workshop was made possible through our partnership with Kunstverein Aughrim and the Kunstverein Creative Producer Programme.
We’d like to thank Michelle Darmody and Kate Strain for their enthusiasm in bringing the workshop to their network, and VISUAL Carlow for participating and hosting us in their beautiful George Bernard Shaw theatre space.
