We were so excited to visit Shizuoka and see the beautiful mountains where our tea is grown and harvested.
Spending the day with our farmer and his family helped us connect even more with their love for tea. We feel so lucky to work with a family who truly care about what they do 🤍

Our first sourcing trip has begun!
Starting in the valleys of Uji, a special place for tea cultivation. It was here that farmers first began shading the tea plants to enhance their sweetness and depth, shaping the flavour profile that we recognise today.

It was so lovely to spend time with the growers who shared incredible insights into how the plants are grown and specifically cared for without pesticides.
We learned so much, and have a deepened respect for the origins of our tea. We can’t wait to bring this home.

Back in January we set out to find the perfect farm to team up with for our new collection.
For those of you who don’t know, the matcha shortage has hit hard this year and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to source high quality matcha thats both organic and traditionally produced.
After hundreds of emails, zoom calls and endless sampling we found ourselves re-starting the process over and over again.
We can finally say that it was all worth it, it’s here, and we are so proud of it.
Sourced directly from our partnered farm in Shizuoka-our newest organic ceremonial matcha is now available at taetea.ie
Limited supply available 🤞
