Every Christmas Shoebox starts with one person choosing to fill a box – but it takes an incredible team of volunteers across Ireland to help those boxes on their way.
Recently, we brought our regional North West teams together at Lough Derg for our Giving Hope Day – a chance to connect, share ideas, look ahead to this year’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal and, most importantly, spend time with some of the brilliant people who bring it to life in communities around the country!
Over the coming weeks, these teams will be at the heart of the Appeal – supporting schools, families and communities, welcoming volunteers, collecting and checking thousands of shoeboxes and getting them ready for the next stage of their journey.
We couldn't do it without them. 💚

Some of our amazing Dublin volunteers getting their Christmas Shoebox Appeal efforts underway last week 🤩 It takes over 2,000 volunteers nationwide to make the Christmas Shoebox Appeal happen every year- they mobilise schools, communities and businesses to do something truly meaningful and they then collect, check and pack up your boxes for their final journeys.

⚽🎁 A little help from the Northern Ireland squad!!!

Ahead of tonight’s Nations League clash with Georgia, we’ve had some help from the boys in getting the word out about this year’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal 🥳

With a record-breaking 140 Northern Ireland caps, former captain Steven Davis knows a thing or two about bringing people together. Alongside him is an exciting new generation of Northern Ireland talent, including Kieran Morrison and Conor Hazard.

Victor in Ukraine was just nine last year when he experienced his first Christmas without his dad, who had been killed in the war.
When he opened his Christmas Shoebox he found a scarf that reminded him of the one his dad used to wear. His mum said that it brought him so much comfort. For the first time in a long while, he felt a little bit happier..
Sometimes, the smallest gifts can mean the most and offer warmth, hope, and a reminder that someone cares.

2️⃣ Choose the age and whether you’re packing for a boy or girl
3️⃣ Fill it with the 4Ws – something to Wear, Wash with, Write with and Wow!
4️⃣ Pay your €6
5️⃣ Drop it off at one of 400+ participating locations from 1–10 November, including all Mr Price stores nationwide.
