If you’ve been contemplating starting to sew, get going, it’s simpler than it looks, it’s creative and time out time for the mind.
Knowing how to use a sewing machines opens makes changes to clothes easy, here I bought a pair of shorts in the sales that I knew were too big and simply took in the waist!

Back in action! Finally I have a moment to recap our early September Intro to Sewing Workshop that took place in Sandymount. A wonderful day with 10 students who left knowing how to use and troubleshoot a sewing machine and with their own tote bag. Our next workshop is a 2-day Make a Top Workshop also taking place in Sandymount on Sunday Oct4th and 11th. It’s a small step up from beginners but still manageable for those starting out and we cover all the basics.

Summer 26, This summer was a bit different, I didn't have my usual kids summer camps as ultimately in their current form it is too difficult to compete with other cheaper camps and also rising rent costs (something new awaits next summer). So, this summer was quieter that normal with just two workshops and lots of preparations in the studio for Autumn. The sun as usual was what we all needed
1. Shorts made from Hush trousers I never wore
2. Sweating in London tryng to find my usual tote bag fabric
3. Sandymount workshop and a serious need for lots of ice
4.Tracing an A0 commercial pattern for class
5. Workshop students having their scone break in the sun
6. Tote cutting for September 13th (one space left)
7. More sweating in London
8. I love the table set up as students arrive, it's all ready for you
Week 5 - Sewing for Beginners: Threading your machine. This part is just vital, if you have a problem when using your machine…it is most likely a mistake in the threading.
Ps. That final spot is now gone so our next Beginner workshop is Saturday, November 14th in Monkstown. Let’s get a sewing machine into every home 💪🏻

The adjustable table was an investment after years of crouching over a low table.
