Stepsscp Limerick

On our second day of Shannon senior summer programme we decorated phonecases with some bling, played games, had a darts tournament and finished of with a game of bingo.

We had a great start to our senior summer programme in Shannon on Tuesday. We made tie dye T-shirts, we are starting to be quite good at it!!!
We did some games and relay races, had a quiz and finished the day off at the swimming pool with a refreshing splash! Thanks to St. Senan's National School, Shannon for letting us use their premises again!

We finished our Shannon junior summer programme with a lovely visit to the Stonehall farm. We met some llamas, an alpaca, ostrich, emu, beautiful owls and turtles to name but a few. We also enjoyed some great play time!!! Thank you for having us!
We also got to bring home our exquisite tie dye t-shirts!!!

Yesterday we had an exiting visit to the fire station. Our heartfelt thanks to the crew Fire Station, we got to try on the helmets and safety jackets, climb onto a fire truck, spray with a fire hose and sound the sirens!!!
In the afternoon we enjoyed the playground, made some glow in the dark paintings and played a spot of bingo.

Another glorious summers day. Today we started our junior summer programme in Shannon. We had the pleasure of using the brand new facilities at Gaescoil Donncha Rua with our pupils from the afore mentibed school as well as St St. Senan's National School, Shannon.
We say a big thanks to Daniel from Clare Sports Partnership who kept us going with games. Sports Partnership also sponsored our swim in the afternoon. Thank you!
In the morning we made some tie dye t-shirts. We will show the results later in the week.

What a fantastic day we had today to finish of our summer programme with our crew at Our Lady of Lourdes NS. We modelled our beautiful tie dye t-shirts. We had a brilliant time at the Clonshire Equestrian centre. The staff there was absolutely amazing. We had people on a horse for the very first time in their lives, some conquering their fears!
We had a visit from Mary and Liz from Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. We got a bit of funding from them via UBU fund, and it makes these days possible for us. Thank you.
And we finished off the day with a little bit of a picnic, and happy birthday wishes!!!

Today we continued with our OLL NS summer programme. Donncha from Limerick Sports Partnership was back to play some games with us. Then we painted our glow in the dark art and finished off some tie dying. We had a go at the playground, decorated phonecases and finished the day off with couple of rounds of bingo.

Tuesday 30th June saw the start of our primary school summer programmes. At Our Lady of Lourdes NS we made tie dye T-shirts, had Donncha from Limerick Sports Partnership doing games with us, prepared some canvases ready for glow in the dark painting, had a darts tournament and finished the day off with a quiz.

What an impossibly hot day, but what fun we had! And conquered some fears!

Thanks to the Inland Fisheries Ireland we got to go fishing at Paddy Mac's lake today. The weather was too hot even for the fish though... the prize for the biggest catch of the day (the only one in fact) went to Mikey for his humangous perch :-)
