Listowel Fire and Rescue

Out and about at the Active Ageing Festival 2026 held in Listowel Community Centre earlier today!📸

Our crew had a brilliant time chatting with everyone at our information stand—and look who dropped by to say hello! Always a pleasure to catch up with Francis Brennan. 🌟🌟

Thanks to everyone who came by—it was great meeting with you all! 🙌

People ask each other, "Where were you on September 11th?" when reminiscing. It is a flashbulb type of memory that shows up so clearly in the timeline of all of our lives.

The tragedy that breaks our hearts and yet brings us all together.

We will never forget. 🙏💐

Best of luck lads 👊💪👍

It's with a heavy heart we share the sad news of the passing of retired Firefighter Gerry Mullins. Gerry was an all round fireman and great teacher to us younger lads when we joined the service. He was always great company the life and soul of the party. Gerry gave great service to the people of Listowel and North Kerry over his long career with Kerry Fire Service. Our condolences to his wife Ann sons Michael , Gerald , daughters Mary Ellen and Breda and all the family. May he rest in peace 🙏 🚒

On behalf of Kerry Fire and Rescue Service, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Danny Shine, retired Firefighter, Listowel Fire Station.
We were deeply saddened to hear of Danny’s passing. During his many years of service, Danny dedicated himself selflessly to protecting others and supporting his community in Listowel and its environs. His commitment, bravery, and generosity of spirit made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of serving alongside him in Kerry Fire and Rescue Service.
We are grateful for his many years of loyal service to Kerry Fire and Rescue Service and indeed to the people of Listowel and Kerry.
Our thoughts are with Christine, Laura, Aidan, Graham and Jonathan and their families during this difficult time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Today we bid farewell to retired Firefighter Danny Shine. A great servant to the people of Listowel and North Kerry over the year and a pure gentleman. May Danny Rest in peace 🙏
