Creative Days Pre-school

“Bring bring, Bring bring”-“oh…….heeeyyy”❤️
The children are really enjoying exploring our play pod treasures. The phones, calculators and endless laptops have helped them create a coffee shop that even sells pizza sandwiches!! Their ability to create worlds of play far exceed what we can imagine as adults 💕💜💕

“It’s Harry’s Birthday”-Arthur!! Our play dough invitation to explore nature took a wonderful turn:) Using conkers, sticks and other natural loose parts from our garden alongside some play dough, the children created cakes, buns, cooked in our ovens, made some birthday cards and even made invitations. They planned the party, cooked the food, sang Happy Birthday (many many times) and worked together to bring Harry the teddy hedgehogs special day to life. What began as an exploration of nature became a rich, child-led world of imagination, collaboration, communication and problem-solving.

Our sea animals were brought out this week at the request of Kane:-) So far we have looked at their shapes, their species, their differences and similarities and today we are testing how good they are at swimming 🤣 The conversations, chat, stories and knowledge the children are sharing is very impressive👏👏

We’ve had such a great start to our preschool year:-) The children have enjoyed exploring their new environments, friendship groups, mud kitchens galore and endless play invitations based on their interests. It’s the perfect play space for encouraging confidence, independence and fun exploration-well done everyone:-)

Another year, another graduation, but this one was so special!! The love, support, excitement and joy was infectious!! Thank you everyone for an amazing year, and the most beautiful graduation today-congratulations to all our 2026 students starting junior infants in September-you’re going to fly it 💕🥰🎉🥳

With this spell of beautiful hot weather we set off this morning with our ice exploration activity. The children really got engaged adding different coloured paint to the ice .
It sparked a huge explosion of imagination, language and communication

“I’m making bubble tea” Ruby
“I’m making an ice monster and it’s going to melt” Arthur
“Mine is a freezing potion and you need to say a spell for it to work” Malachi
“My potion freezes everybody” Amy
“Can we have more colours to make rainbow ice?” Maya
“Let’s mix purple & green, oooohhh look it makes dark green!” Kai

Another Monday, another morning of new conversations, big ideas and outdoor exploration:-)🍃 ☀️😄

Our first full day in the garden today with both groups coming together to explore all the exciting treasures of our playpod!! This is our definition of child led play and we all absolutely love it:-)

Today in playschool we were all about the love for our mummies and all the women figures in our lives . We got busy with the ingredients to bake a very special cake for our mums to show them just how much we love them-messy, gorgeous delicious fun x
