Well Done to the Robinsons.
Great to see them getting some cross country racing experience in before the county championships and inter club league.
On a tough and challenging day in Stamullen, Daniel and Maeve Robinson headed over for the first XC event of the season, the Star of the Sea’s cross country. First up was Maeve in the Girls U9 500m coming in 4th out of the 43 girls that took part in a time of 1.54, all the more impressive as she was running a year ahead of her age. Next up was her brother Daniel in the U11 Boys 1000m, on a tough course, Daniel ran a great race, coming in 4th or 27 boys in a time of 3.56. With a podium for the top 6 both were happy to medal on a day that would test the hardiest of runners…

Good man David Hawcroft
Inspiring
OUR FAVOURITE MOMENT OF THE WEEKEND
Hundreds of runners and walkers took part in the Basalt Breaks Giants Causeway Coast Marathon this weekend, but one moment stood out above the rest.
81-year-old David Hawcroft crossing the finish line of the Half Marathon Run.
David has taken part in our events many times before and continues to be a true inspiration to everyone around him.
Through wind, rain, surf, sand and rocks, David kept going.
What a man. What an achievement. What an inspiration.
David, you were without question our favourite moment of the entire weekend.

Achill Roars for Genevieve
Genevieve Molloy finished 1st over 40 in the Achill Roar over the weekend.
It was an 8k mountain run and 22k bike round the island. A very challenging race close to the Atlantic Ocean and the climbs of west Mayo.
She was delighted with her performance and promises a return to this event. Highly recommended
