🚨 JUST ANNOUNCED 🚨
HUARTAN
Emerging from the Gaeltacht Quarter of West Belfast, Huartan bring their explosive fusion of Irish traditional music, Gaeilge song and pulsating electronica to Bank Lane this December.
Formed by traditional musicians Catriona Ní Ghribín, Múlú and producer Stiofán Ó Luachráin — alongside masked performers embodying the síogaí — Huartan have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting live acts coming out of the North.
🏆 BBC Introducing NI Artist of the Year
🏆 2024 NI Music Prize — Live Act of the Year
Their mission is to connect contemporary audiences with the oral singing tradition and native language of Ulster, reimagining at-risk Irish-language songs through a powerful electronic live show.
Hot Press have described Huartan as “one of the key voices in a realignment of modern Irish music and culture”, while their self-titled debut was hailed by Chordblossom as “one of the most visionary albums from 2025”.
In 2026, Huartan take that debut album on the road — bringing Gaeilge, tradition, electronica and the síogaí to Bank Lane.
