Where winter meets the last breath of light.
Snow lingers quietly on the hills while the sun sets the landscape on fire for just a fleeting moment.
Cold and warmth, silence and glow — everything balanced on the edge of day and night.
These are the moments that feel like the world is holding its breath.

Wicklow Mountains — Ireland.

The night unfolded in color.
Far above the Atlantic, waves moved in silence while the sky came alive — ribbons of green, crimson, and gold drifting through the darkness.
Standing above the cliffs, it felt unreal… as if the horizon had opened into something far beyond this place.

Moments like this don’t belong to a location — they belong to the sky itself.

Kinbane Castle — Northern Ireland.

Morning arrives quietly in the mountains.
Fog drifts slowly through the valleys, softening every edge, dissolving the world into layers of silence and light.
Nothing is sharp, nothing is certain — and yet everything feels exactly where it should be.
These are the moments that don’t demand attention… they invite you to slow down and simply exist.

Wicklow Mountains — Ireland.

Winter reduces the world to its essence.
Light, shadow, and the quiet line between what is real and what is reflected.
The lake becomes a mirror, the mountains dissolve into stillness, and even the smallest detail feels infinite.
In moments like this, silence is not empty — it is everything.

Glendalough Upper Lake, Wicklow Mountains — Ireland.

At first light, the land begins to move.
Water rushes toward the sea, carving its path through stone and grass, carrying the quiet energy of a new day.
The sun breaks through the clouds just for a moment — enough to turn chaos into rhythm, and motion into something almost timeless.
These are the seconds you can’t hold… only witness.

Dunseverick Falls — sunrise.

At the edge of the day, everything softens.
The cliffs fall quiet, the sea slows its voice, and the last light drifts gently across the land.
Wildflowers hold onto the fading warmth, glowing for just a moment before night takes over.
Not every ending is loud — some arrive in silence, painted in gold and green.

Giant's Causeway — Northern Ireland.

For a brief moment, the mountains burn with color.
The sky spills shades of fire and softness at once, reflected in the still waters below.
Everything aligns — light, land, and silence — creating something that feels almost unreal.
And just as quickly as it arrives, it fades… leaving only the memory of color behind.

Lough Tay, Wicklow Mountains — sunrise.

Photographed back in 2008 — a different time, a different eye.
Standing among the ruins of H**e Abbey, I remember looking toward Rock of Cashel, unaware of how much both the place… and I would change over the years.

Today, the Rock looks different after restoration — cleaner, sharper, touched by time in a new way.
But this frame remains untouched. A quiet fragment of the past, preserved exactly as it was seen then.

Sometimes photography isn’t just about capturing a place — it’s about capturing a moment in your own journey.

Silent Wicklow Timelapse – Wicklow Stories Film Festival 2025

I’m thrilled to announce that my latest timelapse film, “Silent Wicklow,” has been officially selected for the Wicklow Stories Film Festival 2025!

The festival will take place on Saturday, 15th November 2025 at the Whale Theatre in Greystones. This year’s programme features six films representing diverse voices and perspectives from across County Wicklow. My 3-minute documentary/time-lapse piece captures the quiet beauty and shifting light of the Wicklow Mountains — a place that has inspired my work for many years.

The official 2025 selection includes:
• Dealing With It – Directed by Santiago Rivas Pertile (Drama, 15min)
• Stalker – Directed by Liam Prenter Morris (Horror, 15min)
• Little Caesar – Directed by Amy Tierney (Animation, 6:26min)
• Silent Wicklow – Directed by Rafal Rozalski (Documentary/Time-lapse, 3:42min)
• Seven Moments In Time – Directed by Dave Thomas (Drama, 21:05min)
• To The Water – Directed by Savvy Hanna (Horror, 8:04min)

The festival’s special guest this year will be Mile 24, directed by Colin Peppard (Drama, 11:37min).

It’s truly an honour to have my work featured alongside such talented filmmakers. I’m looking forward to seeing Rafal Rozalski’s timelapse film “Silent Wicklow” has been selected for the Wicklow Stories Film Festival 2025, showcasing diverse films from County Wicklow. The festival is scheduled for November 15, 2025, at the Whale Theatre in Greystones, featuring six films, including Rozalski’s 3-minute documentary. on the big screen at my local theatre and sharing this project with an audience that knows and loves the beauty of Wicklow as much as I do.
