Space Within Space.
A first glimpse at a home for a young family in northern Israel.
Set within a compact suburban plot in the Galilee, the project reinterprets the typical slot-house typology through an exploration of interconnected interiors organized around a shared central void, the living well. This spatial core brings light, movement, and family life together, creating a rich sequence of experiences within a familiar linear arrangement.

The Community Way | Our winning proposal for the renewed masterplan of the Timrat communal center.

The Culture Plaza - Located at the meeting point between the education zone and the planned cultural institutions, it serves as a platform for activities that connect the two— a place for outdoor learning, a gathering area before events, and a place for community activities of various scales. The plaza’s uniqueness lies in its generous open space—mostly on a single level—where the existing trees are preserved and complemented by additional native plantings, strengthening the connection to the natural surroundings.

Shimron Square - The central community plaza sits at the heart of the project. It descends toward the “Community Way,” continuing the southern access path as an open, gradual public space divided into terraces. Together, they create a multi-level plaza where each level supports its own social activity, while the whole space remains open and connected to the northern landscape, near and far.

We are delighted to share that our proposal for the open competition of redesigning the Timrat Village Centre, located on a hilltop overlooking the Galilee, has won first prize (alongside two other offices)!

Our proposal, The Community Way, outlines a structural framework to support and enhance the infrastructure of the site. At its core lies a primary route that comfortably stretches horizontally along a strategic topography line, interweaving buildings, plazas, and open spaces. The route is accompanied by a light shading element that ties together the varied segments, existing and proposed. The whole area is thus tied up and its accessibility and readability are improved by a single distinct rearranging element.
