Last week, we continued our ‘Israel Elections 2026: The Candidates & Their Visions for Israel’s Future’ series (in partnership with Tribe Tel Aviv, Kerem House, & JIC - Jewish International Connection) in Tel Aviv.

MK Oded Forer of Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu faction very articulately expressed his party’s rightwing Westcentric positions. Like many in his party, Forer sees Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the Likud as having lost their way, and views Lieberman as the true heir to Z’ev Jabotinsky’s Revisionist Zionist ideological tendency.

The goal of this series is for olim (Jews who’ve ‘ascended’ home to Israel from the exile) to engage with candidates from Israel’s various political parties to learn what they stand for, what issues they see as currently most pressing, how they understand the criticisms against them, & what they envision for Israel’s future.

Two weeks ago, we continued our ‘Israel Elections 2026: The Candidates & Their Visions for Israel’s Future’ series (in partnership with Tribe Tel Aviv, Kerem House, & JIC - Jewish International Connection) in Tel Aviv.

Yonatan Shalev of Naftali Bennett’s Together party has spent the last couple of years fighting in Gaza and Lebanon and is positioning himself as a spokesman for Israel’s reservists. While he continuously spoke of maintaining Israel as a “democracy” and “liberal” society, he failed to define either term when challenged. He even went so far as to repeat Ehud Barak’s infamous line about Israel a “villa in the jungle” (Yehuda HaKohen was there to call him out).

The goal of this series is for olim (Jews who’ve ‘ascended’ home to Israel from the exile) to engage with candidates from Israel’s various political parties to learn what they stand for, what issues they see as currently most pressing, how they understand the criticisms against them, & what they envision for Israel’s future.

Last night was the fourth part of our ‘Israel Elections 2026: The Candidates & Their Visions for Israel’s Future’ series (in partnership with , , & ) in Jerusalem.

of the Oz party isn’t new to the political game. asked her some tough questions but she very professionally dodged them by answering with her prepared talking points. On the one hand, she came across as a generic hasbarist when discussing Palestinian issues and she flat out denied what seems to be Israel’s obvious demographic trajectory. BUT she also shared an impressively sober understanding of the US-Israel relationship and seemed open to the notion of a single state between the river and the sea with equality for all (so long as this be the will of the people expressed through Israel’s Knesset).

This past Wednesday evening was the third part of our ‘Israel Elections 2026: The Candidates & Their Visions for Israel’s Future’ series (in partnership with , , & ) in Jerusalem.

Inbar Harish Gity of Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party spoke on many issues but lost some of the crowd when she tried to blame Prime Minister and the current Israeli government for the fact that both major political parties in the United States have turned sharply against Israel ( was there to let her know how unintelligent that claim made her sound).
