Even though my surname is Karnatac, I am actually not from Karnataka (though I wish I was, it is hands down my favourite state). I was born and bought up eating momos in Delhi. And now I am in the land of vada pao, Mumbai.
From the British era to independent India, several films and documentaries have faced bans or censorship for political, social, or ideological reasons. This video looks at some of the most notable examples and the debates they sparked around censorship and freedom of expression.

Assam is facing one of its worst flood disasters in years.
This flood has already claimed 78 lives. Over 3 lakh people have been affected. Seven districts and 622 villages are in the grip of the floods.
More than 45,000 hectares of farmland have been destroyed. Saal bhar ki mehnat flood mein beh gayi.
While floodwaters are receding in some areas, thousands of affected families still can't return home. Many houses have been damaged, roads are covered in mud, and several areas remain waterlogged. The IMD has also warned of more heavy rainfall, jiske wajah se halaat aur bigaad sakti hai.
Entire villages are underwater. Families have lost their homes, crops, and everything they owned. Sab kuch flood le gaya.
This isn't a one-time event. Climate change is making floods like this more frequent and more intense. Ab ye "normal" banta ja raha hai.
This isn't just a flood. It's a humanitarian crisis.

Yesterday, I went to the Jantar Mantar protest site, and it's something I'll never forget. The historic win of students!
I met people who had been sitting there for almost 30 days, standing up for what they believed in despite exhaustion. I spoke to people who could barely walk but still showed up every single day. The strength, resilience, and unity I witnessed were overwhelming.
Then, everything changed in a matter of seconds.
Tear gas was fired, and the air became impossible to breathe. My eyes burned badly, people started running, and I saw students getting hurt. It was one of the most disturbing moments I've experienced firsthand.
But amid all the chaos, I also witnessed history. After more than 30 days of continuous protests, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned. For everyone gathered there, it felt like their voices had finally been heard, a moment many saw as a victory for democracy.
This video is my attempt to show you what I saw and what I felt, exactly as it happened.
