'From Fields to Flight' has gone global!

We're proud and honoured to say that 'From Fields to Flight', the short documentary film telling the story of Breakthrough changemaker Babita, was selected and screened at Tribeca X - the Tribeca festival's flagship program dedicated to brand supported storytelling.

Directed by Ipsh*ta Bhattacharyya and created in partnership with Skoll Foundation and Video Consortium as a part of the Solutions Storytelling Project, 'From Fields to Flights' tells the story of a young woman who took social and gender norms head on and went on to become a drone pilot.

Meet Prema, Sanjana’s mother.

A resident of Gosainganj in Uttar Pradesh, she believes in her daughter’s potential and sees no reason why it should be limited, no matter what. She insists “Samaaj to bolta rahega, hum apni betiyon ko kyun roke?” (“Society will always speak ill, but why should we stop our daughters?”)

At Breakthrough, we are working hard to ensure young women like Sanjana would never have to give up on their dreams. A part of which is celebrating mothers like Prema who relentlessly believe that sky is the limit for their daughters.
