مرحوم بشیر احمد ولد محمد سلطان، ساکن محلہ ڈڈنی، گاؤں شدول، تحصیل مہور، ضلع ریاسی، جو گزشتہ شام گلاب گڑھ کے علاقہ شدول کی ڈوک (باندرا والی سنگل گنڈس) میں پہاڑی سے پتھر گرنے کے افسوسناک حادثے میں جاں بحق ہوگئے تھے، کی نمازِ جنازہ آج صبح 11.30 بجے (موڑہ لٹری چنل) میں ادا کی جائے گی۔

تمام رشتہ داروں، عزیز و اقارب، دوست احباب اور اہلِ علاقہ سے گزارش ہے کہ مرحوم کی نمازِ جنازہ میں شرکت فرما کر ان کی مغفرت کے لیے دعا کریں۔

اللہ تعالیٰ مرحوم کی مغفرت فرمائے، انہیں جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا کرے اور پسماندگان کو صبرِ جمیل نصیب فرمائے۔ آمین۔

Man Killed After Falling Rock Hits Him in Gulabgarh, Mahore of District Reasi

Reasi, August 2: A tragic incident claimed the life of a 65-year-old man after he was struck by a falling rock in Bandrawali Dook (Single Gunds) of Village Shadole, Gulabgarh area of Mahore Sub-Division in Reasi district on Saturday evening.

According to local sources, the deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Mohallah Dadni, Village Shadole, Tehsil Mahore, District Reasi. He had gone to fetch water from the nearby dook at around 7:00 PM when a portion of the hillside suddenly collapsed, sending rocks and debris downhill. A large stone struck him, leaving him critically injured.

Soon after the incident, local residents and family members rushed to the spot and rescued the injured man. He was being taken back to the village for further transportation to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way before he could receive medical treatment.

The tragic incident has left the entire area in mourning. Local residents expressed deep grief over the death and extended their condolences to the bereaved family. They also urged the government to provide financial assistance to the victim's family.

The death of Bashir Ahmed has cast a shadow of sorrow over his family and the entire village, with relatives and residents mourning the untimely loss.

Police Checking Drive at TCP Dharmari

DC Reasi Reviews Road Safety Measures, Directs Expedited Action on Black Spots

REASI, JULY 31: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, today chaired a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) to review the implementation of road safety measures across the district and assess the progress made by various stakeholder departments. The meeting was attended by officers from the Police, Transport Department, PWD, PMGSY, Health, Education, Municipal Committees, GREF and other concerned departments.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi reviewed the status of the District Road Safety Action Plan 2026–27, identification and rectification of accident-prone black spots, installation of crash barriers, parapets, road signages, road safety audits and enforcement initiatives undertaken by different departments.

Reviewing the status of black spots, he instructed the concerned departments to expedite corrective measures at all identified vulnerable locations. He directed the executing agencies to prioritize the installation of crash barriers, warning signages and other road safety infrastructure, particularly on accident-prone roads and hilly stretches.

The Deputy Commissioner laid special emphasis on conducting regular road safety audits, particularly of roads and bridges. He directed the concerned agencies to submit detailed reports on the road safety audits completed so far and ensure timely compliance with the prescribed safety standards. He directed the Transport Department and Traffic Police to conduct special enforcement drives in the Mahore area to check overloading, over speeding and other traffic violations.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of road safety awareness campaigns conducted by the Traffic Police, ARTO, Education Department, Health Department and Civil Defence. He directed the concerned departments to organize regular awareness programmes to educate citizens, especially the youth, about responsible road usage and adherence to traffic rules.

He further reviewed emergency response mechanisms, including the constitution of Emergency Rescue Teams (ERTs), deployment of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), first-aid training, trauma care preparedness and compensation for road accident victims. He directed the Health Department to prepare a detailed estimate for establishing a trauma centre and identify suitable land for the proposed facility at the earliest.

ADDC Krishan Lal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, SE PWD, CPO, XENs of PWD and PMGSY and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.

Situation of present Time

BIG BLOW TO TERROR ECOSYSTEM: J&K POLICE ATTACHES PROPERTIES OF FIVE PAKISTAN-BASED TERROR HANDLERS IN REASI

Mahore, July 30: Delivering a major blow to the terror ecosystem, Reasi Police has attached the immovable properties of five Pakistan-based terror handlers during the investigation of FIR No. 70/2024 of Police Station Mahore, registered under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and the E&IMCO Act.

The attachment proceedings were carried out by a police team led by SDPO Mahore, Ms. Parul Bhardwaj, JKPS, along with the SHO, Police Station Mahore, in the presence of the Executive Magistrate, Mahore, and local witnesses.

Immovable properties belonging to following persons, identified as assets intended to facilitate and finance terrorist activities, were attached:

1. Alaf Din S/o Mir Baz @ Mir Baj, R/o Shajroo, Tehsil Mahore – 07 Kanals of land.
2. Ghulam Mohd @ Gamma S/o Mohd Yousaf, R/o Shajroo, Mahore – 10 Kanals 11 Marlas of land.
3. Mohd Asraf S/o Ab Karim, R/o Chakrass (Mulass), Mahore – 17 Marlas of land.
4. Shabir Ahmad S/o Mohd Yousaf, R/o Chakrass (Jamsalan), Mahore – 07 Kanals 03 Marlas of land.
5. Bihar Din S/o Abdul Sattar Chopan, R/o Sildhar – 08 Kanals 01 Marla of land.

During the investigation, credible evidence established that the above accused had exfiltrated to Pakistan for terrorist training and are presently operating as terror handlers from across the border, actively promoting, facilitating, and coordinating terrorist activities. The investigation further revealed that these properties were liable to be alienated, with the proceeds intended to finance and sustain terrorist operations.

Based on these findings, Reasi Police, after obtaining the requisite approval from the Police HQ J&K, attached the properties under the relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, to prevent their misuse for terror financing.

This action reflects the firm resolve of Reasi Police to dismantle the financial infrastructure supporting terrorism. By targeting assets linked to terror operatives, the police aim to disrupt the terror ecosystem and deny anti-national elements the resources required to sustain their activities.
