"Poshakh" an idea that was born out of a deep rooted passion for the rich heritage of Indian fabrics has travelled a long journey.
"Poshakh '' opened its doors in 1996. Launched by the wife and husband designer duo of Kavita and Rahul Awasthee, this was their attempt to work with natural fabrics during a period when the synthetic culture was at its peak. The diverse tradition of fabric weaving, printing, embroidery, dyeing and patterning had always fascinated them. Poshakh is their endeavor to revive the dying traditional fabric crafts of India. Since its inception, the store has moved on from strength to strength. The collection at Poshakh is a mélange of fabrics from all the corners of India. Poshakh is a creative expression to integrate the uniqueness of the traditional craft with the contemporary trends.
