Kurdistan Radiologists Association in cooperation with Radiology Department of Rizgary teaching hospital, organized and presented a comprehensive course successfully on 30th July 2026 at Rizgary Teaching hospital, about ( Carotid Doppler US)(theoretical+hands on) by (Dr Omar Bazzaz)( course instructor) , the Manager of Rizgary teaching hospital( Dr.NurJihan Ali Shaaban), head of KRA-Erbil branch and a group of esteemed Radiologists participated in the event.

We are proud to announce the official release of the “*Comprehensive Diagnostic Guidline for Breast Imaging in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq-2026”* for the benefit of our radiologists and the wider community in the Kurdistan Region. This milestone was achieved through dedicated efforts from our radiology team and close collaboration with the professional surgeons in our region.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the main contributors and reviewers who devoted more than a year to preparing and writing this edition. The guideline has been thoroughly reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Health committee, and it carries the endorsement of KRA, IKAS, and the Kurdistan Doctors Syndicate.
In the coming period, a special event will be organized to formally launch this guideline, accompanied by a series of workshops designed to support our radiologists in applying its standards.

On 5th February 2026, KRA- Erbil branch organized and held a successful scientific event about breast screening, presented by a group of esteemed radiologists from Erbil city with active participation of a large number of radiologists, the event was sponsored by SAAEDA company.

A two days doppler course about lower limb arterial and venous doppler was successfully held in Erbil city, which was organized by KRA-Erbil branch, with the speaker and trainer Dr Omar M.Sultan, sponsored by mindray and unimedica.
