BREAKING: Mohsen Rezaei warned that any new war involving the United States and Iran could rapidly expand across multiple strategic waterways and regions. Speaking to The Cradle, Rezaei said the scope of a future conflict would stretch “from the Indian Ocean to the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea,” signaling the potential for a much wider regional escalation.
The remarks come amid rising tensions in the Middle East involving Iran, Israel, and U.S. military forces stationed across the region. Analysts warn that any direct confrontation could threaten major shipping lanes, energy infrastructure, and regional stability, particularly around the Persian Gulf and Red Sea routes that are vital to global trade and oil supplies.

Mojtaba Khamenei has reportedly approved the pardon or commutation of sentences for around 2,000 prisoners following a request from Iran’s judiciary chief on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir. Iranian state media said the move includes inmates convicted of various offenses, as part of traditional clemency measures often announced during major religious events.
The decision was presented as a gesture tied to Islamic celebrations and judicial leniency. Authorities in Iran periodically announce mass pardons during national and religious occasions, though the exact categories of prisoners included were not immediately detailed. The announcement comes amid continued international attention on Iran’s judicial and prison system.

Araghchi Reveals He Was Inside Khamenei’s Office During Attack Moment
He has revealed that he was inside Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s office at the exact time of reported US and Israeli strikes on February 28.
Speaking in an interview, Araghchi said he had arrived in the morning after returning from Geneva talks and was briefing the leadership when the situation suddenly escalated.
He claims the atmosphere quickly shifted as tensions in the region rose, turning an already sensitive diplomatic moment into a high-risk security situation.
According to him, the attack happened while he was inside the office complex, though he was not in the directly targeted area.
Araghchi also said his immediate concern was Khamenei’s safety, adding that the early hours of the crisis were extremely tense and uncertain.
He further stated that Khamenei did not prefer relocating to secure shelters during that period, despite the growing risks.
