It’s becoming a trend: playing an Avicii track, especially Levels, in every DJ set, at every festival. We’ve seen it recently from David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Fisher, and who knows how many others. Is it still just a tribute? Or is it more about grabbing attention from a crowd that’s struggling to stay engaged?
Levels by Avicii is an anthem; it’s part of EDM history, you know. But more and more often, it gets dropped next to tracks that have nothing to do with the performer’s set or vibe. It almost feels forced, like “it has to be there no matter what.”
Just our impression, nothing but respect for Tim and for the masterpiece he created, of course.
