One of the riffs in this song is built around the Choubi, a traditional Iraqi rhythmic groove that has been part of the region’s folk music for generations. We took that unmistakable feel and transformed it into something crushing, blending Middle Eastern tradition with extreme metal.

What happens when the human spirit surrenders its will?

Inspired by Middle Eastern mythology, Torment of the Djinn tells the story of a man consumed by ancient malevolent spirits that prey upon broken minds. As reality fractures, the desert and the modern world become reflections of one another, revealing that the greatest battle is the one fought within ourselves.

This video is a warning against despair, apathy, and self-destruction, and a reminder to fight for self-control before the darkness takes hold.
