In this workshop, we'll explore the difference between journaling that processes and journaling that reinforces. The questions that deepen self-inquiry rather than just documenting emotion. And the honest question: is journaling even the right tool for me right now?
You'll leave with a practice — and a take-home card with five questions that change what happens on the page.

You can understand your patterns and still find yourself repeating them.
Because awareness is often where the work begins — not where it ends.
R.E.T.U.R.N. is a 6-week guided group journey designed to help you move beyond simply knowing why you are the way you are, and begin relating to yourself differently.
Over six weeks, we move through:
R — Recognize the patterns, triggers, and loops.
E — Explore what shaped them.
T — Trace them back to where they began.
U — Understand why they once made sense.
R — Release what no longer belongs to you.
N — Navigate what comes next with greater awareness and choice.
Six weeks.
Six people.
One return.
A return not to who you used to be, but to the parts of yourself that got buried beneath coping, adapting, surviving, and becoming what life required of you.

In our culture, food has never just been food.
We eat at funerals. At weddings. When we're heartbroken. When there are no words.
We grew up learning that food is how you love, comfort, and survive things too big to say out loud.
No wonder our relationship with it is complicated.
On August 19, Lara Baakliny is coming to BAYN to talk about exactly this — the emotional roots of how we eat, and what changes when we understand them.

Some wounds don’t need to be rushed.
Some feelings don’t need to be fixed.
Healing is not the absence of pain.
It is learning to hold yourself gently while you move through it. 🌿
Let it be felt. Let it be witnessed. Let it transform you.
We often ask ourselves:
“What if I can’t handle this feeling?”
“What if it never goes away?”
“What if it hurts too much?”
But sometimes the path through pain is not fighting it — it is allowing it to speak.
Every emotion carries a message.
Every tear carries a release.
Every ending carries an invitation to return to yourself. 🤍
A reminder for the days when your heart feels too heavy:
You don’t have to heal by pretending it didn’t hurt.
You heal by making space for what you feel.
Slowly. Softly. Honestly. 🌱
For the parts of you that are grieving, missing, breaking, and feeling too much…
May you remember:
Pain is not always a sign that something is wrong.
Sometimes it is a sign that something mattered.
Be gentle with yourself. 🤍

The thing that keeps pulling you back isn’t the person.
It isn’t the habit.
It isn’t even the situation.
It’s the wound underneath it.
The wound that recognizes something familiar in the chaos. That feels more at home in the painful than in the peaceful. That mistakes intensity for love, and absence for safety.
We don’t get tempted by what’s bad for us.
We get tempted by what feels like home —
even when home was never safe to begin with.
The work is not to resist the temptation.
The work is to heal what makes it tempting.

Nobody warns you about this part.
The part where you start doing the work — and it gets lonelier before it gets better.
Because once you start seeing your patterns, you can't unsee them. You start noticing things in conversations, in relationships, in yourself. You start needing more depth than most environments offer.
And the people around you haven't started yet — or aren't ready — or don't understand why you'd want to.
So you do it alone. You read the books alone. You sit with the realizations alone. You carry the weight of knowing alone.
Here's what I've learned — from my own journey and from the work I do:
Healing alone is possible.
But healing in community is different.
Not because someone fixes it for you. But because something shifts when another person looks at you and says "me too" — and means it. When you realize you're not uniquely broken. When the room holds what you couldn't hold by yourself.
That is what BAYN is for.
For the ones doing the work — and tired of doing it alone.

The relationship between food and emotion is one of the most misunderstood in the wellness space. We treat it as a discipline problem. A willpower problem. A knowledge problem.
It isn’t.
It is a wound problem. And wounds don’t heal through restriction — they heal through understanding.
BAYN is hosting a guest workshop with Lara Baakliny — international keto expert and nutritional therapist — on exactly this: how emotional wounds drive our relationship with food, energy, and the body. And how healing the emotional root changes everything.

You have been chasing love, approval, and validation as if they were things you had to earn.
But what if the greatest loss was never that they didn't choose you?
What if the greatest loss was believing that your worth depended on being chosen at all?
You have been working for a salary that was already deposited into your account.
Your value was never created by someone's attention.
It was never increased by their commitment.
And it was never diminished by their absence.
Self-love is not learning to become worthy.
It is remembering that you always were.
The healing begins the moment you stop negotiating your value, stop auditioning for acceptance, and stop treating your heart like it needs permission to exist.
You don't become enough when someone finally sees you.
You become free when you finally see yourself.
You have been earning something that was already yours.
Your worth.
Your dignity.
Your right to take up space.
Your right to be loved—starting by yourself.

You were not too much.
You were in rooms that were too small.
The people who told you — directly or indirectly — that you needed to be quieter, smaller, less intense, less emotional, less needy: they weren't describing you accurately. They were describing their own capacity.
And somewhere along the way, you believed them.
You adjusted. You shrunk. You learned to take up less space, ask for less, feel less — or at least show less.
And then you called it growth.
It wasn't growth. It was adaptation.
The work — the real work — is learning to tell the difference between the two. Between who you genuinely are and who you learned to be in rooms that couldn't hold you.
You don't need to become someone new.
You need bigger rooms.

We've all said at least one of these.
"I'm fine." "You never listen." "Do whatever you want." They sound like communication — but most of the time, they're tests, defenses, or a feeling with nowhere to go.
Healthy communication isn't about saying more. It's about saying what's actually true — even when that's slower, less impressive, and a little more exposed.
Swipe through for 8 swaps you can actually use tonight.
