في اليوم الدولي لمحو الأمية، لا يكفي أن نسأل: هل يستطيع الشخص أن يقرأ ويكتب؟

علينا أيضاً أن نسأل: هل يستطيع الوصول إلى المادة التعليمية؟ هل تتوافر بصيغة تناسبه؟ وهل تمنحه اللغة والتكنولوجيا والبيئة المحيطة فرصة حقيقية للتعلّم؟

عندما تُقدَّم المعرفة بصيغة واحدة، يبقى كثيرون خارجها. أمّا محو الأمية الدامج، فيعترف بتنوّع طرق القراءة والفهم والتعلّم، ويعمل على إزالة الحواجز التي تحول دونها.

التعلّم حق، وإتاحة المعرفة جزء من هذا الحق.

On International Literacy Day, it is not enough to ask whether someone can read and write.

We must also ask whether learning materials are accessible, whether they are available in a format the person can use, and whether language, technology, and the surrounding environment provide a genuine opportunity to learn.

When knowledge is offered in only one format, many people remain excluded. Inclusive literacy recognizes that people read, understand, and learn in different ways, and works to remove the barriers between them and knowledge.

Learning is a right, and accessible knowledge is part of that right.

لا يقرأ الناس بالطريقة نفسها، ولا يصلون إلى المعرفة عبر وسيلة واحدة.
قد يحتاج أحدهم إلى نصّ متوافق مع برامج قراءة الشاشة، بينما يحتاج شخص آخر إلى خطّ أكبر، أو نسخة صوتية، أو لغة واضحة وسهلة، أو طريقة مختلفة تساعده على الفهم والتفاعل.

لا تتحقّق إتاحة المعرفة بعد نشر المحتوى، بل تبدأ منذ لحظة إعداده: من اللغة التي نستخدمها، والصيغة التي نختارها، والطريقة التي نقدّمه بها.

إتاحة المعرفة ليست إضافة تقنية، بل جزء أساسي من الحق في التعلّم والمشاركة.

People do not all read in the same way, nor do they access knowledge through a single format.

One person may need content compatible with a screen reader, while another may need larger text, an audio version, plain language, or a different way to understand and engage with the information.

Knowledge does not become accessible after content is published. Accessibility begins while the content is being developed, through the language we use, the format we choose, and the way we present it.

Access to knowledge is not a technical addition. It is an essential part of the right to learn and participate.

الأشخاص ذوو الإعاقة لا يحتاجون من يحدد لهم حجم طموحاتهم.

* قد يكون الطموح جامعة، وظيفة، مشروعاً خاصاً، فناً، بحثاً، تكنولوجيا، عائلة، أو مساراً لم نفكر فيه نحن أصلاً.
* دورنا ليس أن نقرر إلى أين يمكن للآخرين الوصول.
* دورنا أن نسأل عن الطموح، نفهم العوائق، ونعمل على إزالة ما يمكن إزالته منها.

الطموح موجود. فلنصمّم فرصاً تتيح الوصول إليه.

Persons with disabilities do not need others to define the limits of their ambitions.

* The aspiration may be university, a career, a business, art, research, technology, family life, or a path we may never have considered ourselves.
* Our role is not to decide how far someone else can go.
* Our role is to ask about the aspiration, understand the barriers, and work to remove those we can.

Aspiration already exists. Let's design opportunities that make it possible to pursue it.

لا توجد نقطة نصل إليها ونقول: "أصبحنا شاملين بالكامل."

--> اللغة تتغير.
--> التكنولوجيا تتغير.
--> والأهم، أننا نتعلم باستمرار من تجارب الناس.

الشمول ليس نتيجة نهائية. إنه ممارسة مستمرة نتعلمها معاً.

There is no point at which we can simply say, "We are fully inclusive."
--> Accessibility evolves.
--> Language changes.
--> Technology changes.
--> Most importantly, we continue learning from people's experiences.

We may get things wrong.
We may discover a barrier we hadn't noticed.
And we may need to redesign something we once thought worked.

Inclusion is not a final destination. It is an ongoing practice we learn together.

العمل في مجال الدمج لا يعني امتلاك كل الإجابات.
--> الواقع يتغير.
--> التجارب تختلف.
--> وما ينجح مع شخص قد لا ينجح مع آخر.

لذلك نحتاج إلى أن نسأل، ونستمع، ونراجع ما نقوم به، ونغيّره عندما لا يعمل.
الخبرة مهمة.
لكنها لا تعوّض الاستماع.

لا نملك كل الإجابات. ولهذا نستمر في التعلّم.

Working on inclusion does not mean having all the answers.
--> Realities change.
--> Experiences differ.
--> And what works for one person may not work for another.

That is why we need to ask, listen, review what we do, and change it when it doesn't work.
Expertise matters.
But expertise does not replace listening.

We don't have all the answers. That's why we keep learning.

تنفيذ نشاط لا يعني بالضرورة أننا عالجنا المشكلة.

خلف كل مشروع جيد يجب أن يكون هناك منطق واضح:
--> لماذا نقوم به؟
--> لمن؟
--> بناءً على أي معلومات؟
--> كيف سنعرف إن كان مفيداً؟
--> ماذا يحدث بعد انتهائه؟

المنهجية هي ما يربط النشاط بالهدف والأثر.
المشروع ليس مجموعة أنشطة. المشروع طريقة مدروسة للوصول إلى تغيير.

Delivering an activity does not necessarily mean we have addressed the problem.

Behind every good project should be a clear rationale:
--> Why are we doing it?
--> For whom?
--> Based on what information?
--> How will we know whether it helped?
--> And what happens after it ends?

Methodology is what connects an activity to its purpose and impact.

A project is not a collection of activities. It is a deliberate pathway toward change.

في حل.تك، لا نبدأ بالسؤال: "ما النشاط الذي يمكننا تنفيذه؟"

نبدأ بالسؤال: "ما الذي يحدث فعلاً؟ وما الذي يحتاجه الأشخاص المعنيون؟"

Participation is not simply inviting someone to a meeting or an activity.

Meaningful participation means their voice can influence the decision.
--> They can say yes.
--> They can say no.
--> They can suggest another option.
--> And their priorities are taken seriously.

There is no meaningful participation without meaningful choice.

في كثير من العائلات، لا يمكن فصل واقع الشخص ذي الإعاقة عن واقع من يقدّم له/ا الرعاية أو الدعم.

مقدمو الرعاية يتحملون مسؤوليات يومية قد تشمل التنقل، المواعيد، التواصل، الرعاية المنزلية، والعمل وتأمين احتياجات الأسرة.

حين نتجاهل احتياجاتهم، نفقد جزءاً أساسياً من الصورة.
دعم مقدم/ة الرعاية قد يعني دعم عائلة بأكملها.

In many families, the reality of a person with a disability cannot be separated from the reality of the person providing care or support.

Caregivers may manage transportation, appointments, communication, daily support, work, and the needs of an entire household.

When their needs are overlooked, an important part of the picture is missed.
Supporting a caregiver can mean supporting an entire family.

الاستقلالية لا تعني أن يفعل الإنسان كل شيء وحده.

قد تعني اتخاذ القرار بنفسه/ا.
طلب المساعدة عندما يحتاج إليها.
اختيار الشخص الذي يسانده/ا.
الوصول إلى المعلومات التي يحتاجها.
أو امتلاك الأدوات التي تمكّنه/ا من إدارة حياته/ا بطريقته/ا.

لكل فرد طريقته/ا في الاستقلال.
الاستقلالية ليست شكلاً واحداً.

It can mean making your own decisions.
Asking for assistance when you need it.
Choosing who supports you.
Accessing the information you need.
Or having the tools to manage your life in your own way.

Independence looks different for different people.
There is no single form of independence.
