We are grateful to God to announce that the Center for Empowerment & Innovation (CEI) has received its first official institutional invitation since our establishment.

Our Executive Director, Amb. Courage Y. Kah, has been formally invited by the Liberia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church to participate as a Special Guest at the historic 2026 Africa College of Bishops Meeting in Liberia.

The gathering will bring together active and retired Bishops from across Africa, representatives of The United Methodist Church, and other partners for fellowship, theological reflection, institutional strengthening, and conversations around the mission of the Church.

For CEI, this invitation represents an important step in our journey of building credible partnerships, expanding our institutional engagement, and advancing our commitment to empowerment, innovation, vocational education, leadership, and community transformation.

We remain humbled by every opportunity God continues to open for this young institution.

179TH INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE

As Liberians commemorate the 179th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Liberia, I join the clergy, laity, and the entire membership of the Liberia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in extending heartfelt Independence Day greetings and God's abundant blessings to His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia; His Excellency Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia; Hon. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate; Hon. Richard Nagbe Koon, Speaker of the House of Representatives; and all distinguished members of the Liberian Legislature.

I also extend sincere greetings to His Honor Chief Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of Liberia and members of the Judiciary; members of the Diplomatic Corps; Cabinet Ministers; heads of Government Ministries, Agencies, Commissions, and Public Corporations; members of the Joint Security; local government officials; traditional and religious leaders; the Muslim Community; our Christian brothers and sisters; farmers, marketers, taxi and kehkeh riders, business owners, teachers, students, healthcare workers, youth, women, United Methodists throughout Liberia, and all Liberians at home and abroad.

As we celebrate this significant moment in our nation's history, we lift our hearts in thanksgiving to Almighty God for His unfailing grace, mercy, and protection over Liberia. We remember with gratitude the courage, sacrifices, and vision of our forebears who established Africa's first independent republic, and we are reminded that the responsibility of building and protecting Liberia belongs to every generation.

Independence is not only a celebration of our past; it is a call to action for our present and our future. It challenges us to work together, to rise above our differences, and to build a nation where peace, justice, opportunity, and dignity are experienced by every Liberian. The Liberia we desire will not be built by a few, but through the collective efforts, commitment, and sacrifices of all citizens.

As United Methodists in Liberia, we reaffirm our dedication to praying for our nation, promoting peace and reconciliation, serving the vulnerable, strengthening communities, and partnering with all people of goodwill to advance education, healthcare, spiritual growth, and national development. We believe that faith must inspire action and that love for God must be reflected in our love and service to one another.

On this historic occasion, I encourage every Liberian to cherish and protect the sovereignty of our beloved Republic. Our independence is a sacred inheritance that must be preserved and strengthened. Let us defend our nation's sovereignty, uphold the rule of law, respect our democratic institutions, and remain committed to peace and unity. A strong and sovereign Liberia, guided by integrity, accountability, and compassion, will continue to inspire hope within Africa and around the world.

As people of faith, let us continue to pray for President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, the leaders of the three branches of Government, and all those entrusted with public service. May God grant them wisdom, courage, and strength to lead with humility and dedication for the advancement of our nation.

On this Independence Day, let us renew our commitment to Liberia. Let us believe in our nation's potential, invest in our communities, support one another, and work together to create a brighter future for our children and generations yet unborn.

NOTICE: FINAL DECISION ON GRADUATION FEES AND BACCALAUREATE SERVICE

The Administration and Student Body of the Monrovia District Vocational Training Center held a final meeting to discuss arrangements for the 2026 graduation ceremony.

Following thorough discussions, the following decisions were unanimously agreed upon:

1. Graduation Fees

Students enrolled in one course: USD $30.00
Students enrolled in two courses: USD $45.00

The graduation fee covers certificate preparation, graduation processing, and other related graduation activities.

2. Baccalaureate Service

The Baccalaureate Service will be held as follows:

Date: Sunday, July 26, 2026
Venue: Peace Island Community

The Administration appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all students involved in reaching this agreement.

All graduating students are kindly requested to make the required payment on or before the deadline that will be communicated by their respective departments.

Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2026! We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with you.
