A Tselane origin story.

Inspired by Dr. Polo Moji’s essay oin the book, HOW TO MAKE A COUNTRY.o the title of her essay is ‘the wayward daughters imaginaries of the nation’.

@ this essay, Dr. Moji challenges the story of Tselane and Limo. She questions how the story is told as a cautionary tale to the wayward daughter who chooses adventure over safety and certainty.

We reimagine the story of Tselane as a story of fearlessness and curiousity. A beginning of many things to come.
