SKROBLAS is a three-piece band from Lithuania. The lyrics open up the world of mystic creatures that dwell deep. Add a grain of irony, humor, and wrap it up with heavily fuzzed (or acoustic) guitars and you will get the sound of SKROBLAS. SKROBLAS musical journey dates 2011, when three friends Tomas Matulaitis (bass, backing vocal), Tomas Miliauskas (guitars, main vocal), and Marius Miliauskas (drums, backing vocal) created the band. In Lithuanian the word “skroblas” means a hornbeam tree. It is highly appreciated in the folklore and stands along with the all-mighty oak. At the same time, skroblas firewood is hard to chop, a challenge that not everyone can handle. Thus, SKROBLAS embodies it all – raw, pure emotion that is familiar to punk, which is blended with some noise elements, and the sounding of Lithuanian lyrics adds in that alternative spice to overall sound.
