To put it simply, they are the devices that connect and work outside the CPU, which is the main core of the computer. Depending on their functions, they can be divided into (3) main categories:

These are used to enter data and commands into the computer.

2. Output Devices
These display or deliver the computer's processed results to the outside world.

3. Storage Devices
These are external devices connected to store data.
