The mode of capitalist accumulation among Myanmar’s ruling classes has and always will engender destabilizing rivalries and competition. The answer is a dictatorship of the proletariat and peasantry, united in their common class interest of building an economy that serves human needs and potential, instead of one that delivers endless war and economic and political instability. Liberal democracy was invented to preserve the class interests of the wealthy, not the real interests of humanity and the biosphere. It’s socialism or more barbarism, folks.

The International Court of Justice is expected to deliver its verdict in the case concerning the genocide against the Rohingya in Myanmar in October, 2026, Gambia’s attorney general and justice minister Dawda A Jallow has said.
