Mascot Project

Over the past months, the MASCOT Project has conducted a series of focus groups to shape the preliminary workstation design 🛠️

We worked closely with key stakeholders, including disability specialists, technical specialists, parents of persons with disability, and persons with disability themselves 🤝

The sessions generated valuable and insightful feedback 💬 This input was carefully analysed and directly integrated into the design, helping us improve its inclusivity, usability, and relevance in real-world settings ♿✨

This week the MASCOT team held a progress meeting at Seifert Systems Ltd. in Hal Far.✅

The team, comprising research from the University of Malta, occupational therapists and professionals from Aġenzija Sapport , Lino Spiteri Foundation and Jobsplus, was given a tour of the facilities by Ing Stanley Zammit and Mr Ivan Refalo. 🏭ℹ️

The team was introduced to the work currently carried out by Seifert Systems Ltd. towards developing and providing more inclusive workplaces for persons with disability making them a pioneer in this field.💪🏼⚙️

Throwback to our project kickoff meeting, where we officially launched this exciting collaboration! ✅

Representatives from Seifert, Agenzija Sapport, and the Lino Spiteri Foundation joined us at UoM to share insights, align on goals, and set the foundation for a meaningful impact. 💪🏼💡

🎯 What is MASCOT’s Goal?

The goal of MASCOT is to support companies in building workstations that are accessible to everyone. 💪♿

Using the latest Industry 5.0 tech, these workstations are built to be efficient and inclusive, enabling persons with disability to work safely and confidently in manufacturing.

Experts and persons with disability are directly involved in the design, making sure real needs are met every step of the way. ✅

The MASCOT project is a collaboration between the University of Malta, Agenzija Sapport and Seifert Systems Malta to create smart, inclusive and sustainable workstations.

These workstations will use advanced technology to help persons with disability carry out manual tasks like assembling products in factories. ⚙✨
