What an absolutely incredible and hectic three days at the Malaysian International Masters Athletics Championship 2026! This competition was a true test of grit and determination. Kicking things off on day one, I secured a silver medal in the 800m. Day two brought a gold medal in 1500m, personal best and another silver medal in the 400m, where I had the honor of competing against elite athlete from Great Britain.

The final day was a whirlwind! After winning gold in Medley relay, I went on to run the 3000m and secured a silver medal. I ran 3000m with Malaysian elite athlete Edan Syah, former marathon record holder who holds multiple Guinness World Records., and despite my legs screaming after so many events, I pushed through with everything I had. There was only a 40-50-meter gap between me and the gold medalist – a testament to how close the competition was, even with tired legs.

Just 15 minutes after the 3000m, I was back on the track as the final runner for the 4x400m relay. I gave my absolute best, and our team achieved a hard-fought silver medal. This championship pushed me to my limits, but I didn’t give up. Every moment, every race, every medal is a reminder that with dedication and heart, you can achieve amazing things. So proud to represent the Maldives and to have given my all on this stage!

We kicked off with pure speed, setting a powerful tone. The next runner maintained that incredible pace, making sure we stayed ahead. Then, our third athlete ran with amazing focus, keeping our lead solid. And finally, our anchor runner brought it home with an unforgettable burst of energy to claim that gold!

This victory is all about us – how we supported each other, trusted each pass, and pushed together. It’s a win built on unity and a shared belief that we could conquer.💪🏻
