Welcome to the Compadres Therapy, Inc. Team! We are grateful and excited to welcome our 2026–2027 Interns: Jessica, Kathy, Mariana, and Nikelle!

These talented individuals join us from the Community Impact Summer Internship Program (presented by Bank of America and Union Pacific in collaboration with Workforce Solutions Borderplex and the Paso del Norte Community Foundation) and the Social Work graduate programs from The University of Texas at El Paso and Our Lady of the Lake University. Throughout their internships, they will gain hands on experience while learning how the human-animal bond and Equine Assisted Services can support individuals, families, and our community.

We are honored to be part of their professional journey and look forward to a wonderful year of learning, service, and meaningful connections with the horses! ❤️ 🐎

Handy that it occurs the day after Daylight Saving Time. 🤠

Remedy is not impressed with Daylight Saving Time, but she’s making the best of it with her stylish hay hat! 🌾🐎

Our therapy horses remind us every day that a little humor, patience, and a good snack can make any change easier. We hope your day has been smooth.

Thank you for your continued support of Compadres Therapy, Inc. and the incredible horses who help bring healing and connection to our community. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the Horses and Humans Research Foundation for organizing another incredible conference bringing together professionals, researchers, and advocates dedicated to advancing the science and impact of the human-horse connection.

Joy was honored to represent Compadres Therapy, Inc. this year at the conference in beautiful Kissimmee, Florida. Connecting with passionate professionals, and, of course, spending time alongside both the humans and the horses was truly inspiring.

Opportunities like this strengthen our commitment to providing evidence informed equine assisted services and continuing to grow, learn, and bring the very best practices back to the El Paso Borderland community we serve.

Compadres Therapy, Inc. is energized, grateful, and excited to continue providing more opportunities to enrich the lives of our participants, partners, and therapy horse herd. ❤️ 🐎
