ReLoop Carbon Innovators

From 4 people to a team.
From ReLoop to the ReLoop Family. 💚

ReLoop started with just four students. But because of Toyota Eco Youth, we slowly turned nothing into something — one idea, one student, one small action at a time.

Environmental change doesn’t always start with something big. Sometimes, it starts with everyone doing a little.

Along the way, we faced challenges, made mistakes, got tired, and sometimes wondered if all the effort would be worth it. But we faced them together. The time, energy and effort everyone was willing to give — that is something we will always treasure.

And today, we brought ReLoop to the Tawau community. Honestly, we didn’t expect much. Our main goal was simply to share about food waste, BSF and environmental awareness.

But Tawau… you really surprised us. 🥹
We never expected our BSF Frass to be so popular that we actually sold out! 😭🪰🌱 That moment gave ReLoop a much-needed boost of confidence.

More importantly, it showed us that people are willing to listen, learn, support, and be part of the change.
To everyone who stopped by, talked to us, supported our students, and took an interest in our project —
Thank you, Tawau. 💚

We started as ReLoop.
Today, we are growing into a ReLoop Family.
And this is only the beginning.

27 Sep 2026: Meet the faces behind ReLoop. 🪰🌱

Our key members took the lead at Pasar Tamu Tawau, distributing flyers and introducing our project to the community.

From talking about food waste to sharing how Black Soldier Fly larvae and entomocomposting can turn waste into useful resources, our students stepped out of the classroom and into the community.

Learning is not just about knowing — it’s about sharing. 💚

27 Sep 2026: This morning, we brought ReLoop to the community 🔥🔥🔥

We introduced our project to the Tawau community, shared about food waste, Black Soldier Fly larvae and entomocomposting, and showed how food waste can become a useful resource.

We stepped out of the classroom and into the community — sharing, explaining, and learning along the way.

Thank you, Tawau, for stopping by and supporting ReLoop! 💚💚

Black Soldier Fly vs. Housefly. Can you tell the difference? 🦟

The ReLoop Carbon Innovators team explored the differences between Black Soldier Flies (BSF) and houseflies, and discovered why BSF can play an important role in creating a more sustainable future. ♻️

BSF and houseflies may share the word "fly" in their names, but they differ in many ways.📝

BSF are darker and longer than the typical chunky housefly, and unlike houseflies, they do not spread diseases to people. Their larvae are also beneficial recyclers that consume organic waste and turn it into biomass, while houseflies are commonly associated with annoyance, disease transmission, and food contamination. 🗑

Comparing them highlights the benefits of BSF in organic waste reduction and treatment, while showing the importance of proper waste management. ♻️

Through learning and sharing, we hope to raise awareness about how small organisms can make a big difference in tackling food waste and building a more sustainable future. 🌎💚

🦟 Meet the BSF!

Ever wondered what Black Soldier Fly (BSF) is and why it is useful? 🌱

In this post, we'll be sharing 5 things about BSF:
1⃣ Meet the BSF
2⃣ What is BSF?
3⃣ Benefits of BSF
4⃣ How BSF processes food waste
5⃣ The life cycle of BSF

From food waste to frass, BSF has more to it than you might think! 👀♻️
