This T or L rubber gasket have been on the shelf probably 30 years.its no longer supple.its a pig to fit in...sticking out about 1/16...won't budge..
Spec is 96 -.100 lbs ft...but I torque it down to 95 lbs ft only...do 100 its stiffer to rotate...?the skidmore meter is tighter at 100.
Next the new used con rods ..use back the old pistons.
Change to standard shell bearing.the new used crankshaft rotates freely.
