Kwamishinan 'Yan Sanda na Jihar Bauchi, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, ya karɓi bakuncin sabon Kwamandan Hukumar Gidajen Gyaran Hali ta Najeriya reshen Jihar Bauchi, CC ST Atoyebi, a wata ziyarar girmamawa da aka kai hedikwatar rundunar da ke titin 'Yandoka a ranar Alhamis, 9 ga Yuli, 2026.

A yayin taron, CP Sani-Omolori ya bayyana cewa haɗin gwiwa tsakanin hukumomin tsaro na da matuƙar muhimmanci wajen tabbatar da zaman lafiya, tsaro da inganta ayyukan gwamnati a jihar.

Ya kuma tabbatar da cewa Rundunar 'Yan Sanda za ta ci gaba da ba Hukumar Gidajen Gyaran Hali cikakken haɗin kai, musamman a fannonin musayar bayanan sirri, tsaron gidajen gyaran hali da kuma inganta gudanar da shari'a.

A nasa jawabin, CC ST Atoyebi ya gode wa Kwamishinan bisa kyakkyawar tarbar da aka yi masa, tare da jaddada aniyarsa ta ƙarfafa haɗin gwiwa tsakanin Hukumar Gidajen Gyaran Hali da sauran hukumomin tsaro, musamman Rundunar 'Yan Sandan Najeriya, domin ƙara inganta tsaron al'umma da ci gaba da kyakkyawar alaƙar aiki da ke tsakanin hukumomin.

CP SANI-OMOLORI RECEIVES NEWLY DEPLOYED CONTROLLER OF CORRECTIONS, BAUCHI STATE COMMAND, ON COURTESY VISIT

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+) today received the newly deployed Controller of Corrections, Bauchi State Command, CC ST Atoyebi, on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters, 'Yandoka Road, Bauchi.

The visit, which took place on Thursday 9th July, 2026 at about 0200PM, was in line with the Controller’s tradition to familiarize himself with heads of security agencies in the state following his recent deployment.

Welcoming the Controller and his entourage, CP Sani-Omolori commended the visit as timely and strategic, noting that inter-agency collaboration remains central to achieving peace, security, and effective service delivery in Bauchi State. He further assured the Corrections Command of the Police’s continued partnership and support in areas of mutual interest, particularly in intelligence sharing, custodial security, and the smooth administration of justice.

In his remarks, CC ST Atoyebi expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for the warm reception. He reiterated his commitment to strengthening synergy between the Nigerian Correctional Service and other security agencies; especially the Nigeria Police as a gatekeeper of the Administration of Criminal Justice System, with a view to enhancing public safety and sustaining the existing cordial working relationship in the state.

The meeting ended with a pledge by both heads of agencies to sustain regular consultations and joint efforts aimed at curbing crime and ensuring a safer Bauchi State.

Rundunar 'Yan Sandan Jihar Bauchi ta tabbatar da k**a wani mutum mai shekaru 45 bisa zargin lalata da wata ƙaramar yarinya mai shekaru takwas a cikin garin Bauchi.

A wata sanarwa da jami'in hulɗa da jama'a na rundunar, SP Nafiu Habib, ya fitar a ranar 7 ga Yulin 2026, ya bayyana cewa an kai rahoton lamarin ga ofishin 'yan sanda na 'E' Division Yelwa a ranar 5 ga Yulin 2026 da misalin ƙarfe 10:14 na dare.

Sanarwar ta ce mahaifiyar yarinyar mai shekaru 32, mazauniyar Dorawan Dillalai a cikin garin Bauchi Bauchi, ta zargi wani mutum mai suna Muhammad Mak**a da ya yaudari 'yarta mai shekaru takwas zuwa ɗakinsa da misalin ƙarfe 12:11 na rana a ranar da lamarin ya faru, inda ake zarginsa da aikata lalata da ita.

Bayan samun rahoton, jami'an 'yan sanda sun fara gudanar da bincike nan take tare da kai yarinyar zuwa asibitin 'yan sanda domin duba lafiyarta da kuma ba ta kulawar da ta dace.

Haka kuma, an kai wanda ake zargin zuwa asibitin bayan wasu fusatattun matasa daga unguwar sun kai masa hari. Daga bisani an sallame shi bayan samun kulawar likita.

Rundunar ta ce ana ci gaba da gudanar da bincike a sashin kula da laifukan cin zarafin mata da yara na Sashin Binciken Manyan Laifuka (SCID) na jihar domin tabbatar da cikakken bincike da kuma gurfanar da wanda ake zargi a gaban kotu idan an same shi da laifi.

POLICE ARREST SUSPECT OVER ALLEGED DEFILEMENT OF A MINOR IN BAUCHI METROPOLIS

In its' sustained fight against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with an alleged case of defilement of a minor.

The incident was reported to 'E’ Division Yelwa, Bauchi, on 5th July, 2026 at about 2214hrs by the 32-years-old mother of the victim, who resides at Dorawan Dillalai, Bauchi. The complainant alleged that on the same date at about 1211hrs, one Muhammad Mak**a ‘m’, 45-years-old, of the same address, lured her 8-years-old daughter into his room and defiled her.

Upon receipt of the report, police operatives immediately swung into action. The victim was taken to the Police Clinic for medical examination and treatment. The suspect was also taken to the same facility for treatment after being assaulted by some angry members of the community, and was subsequently discharged.

The case is under investigation at the Gender Laboratory of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Bauchi, for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has condemned the act in the strongest terms. He assured the public that the Command will ensure justice is served in accordance with the law. He further urged parents, guardians, and community members to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activity involving children to the nearest police station.

BAUCHI POLICE ARREST SUSPECT WITH STOLEN BULL WORTH ₦800,000, HAND OVER TO JIGAWA COMMAND

Operatives, led by the DPO Gadau Division, Itas-Gadau LGA, Bauchi State have arrested a 22-year-old man for being in possession of a stolen bull and have handed him over to Jigawa State Command for further investigation.

The Command received a phone call on 5th July, 2026 at about 1100hrs from the DPO Kafin Hausa Division, Jigawa State Command, regarding a case of theft.

Preliminary information indicated that on 4th July, 2026 at about 0220hrs, one Shu'aibu Musa ‘m’, 22-years-old, of Dumadumin Kyaure Village, Kafin Hausa LGA, Jigawa State, allegedly trespassed into the residence of the complainant, a 40-years-old man, of the same address, and made away with one bull valued at ₦800, 000. 00.

Acting swiftly on the information, a team of detectives from Gadau Division mounted surveillance and strategically ambushed the suspect. Consequently, the suspect was arrested together with the stolen bull, which was recovered as exhibit.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime. He and the recovered exhibit have since been handed over to the DPO, Kafin Hausa Division, Jigawa State Command, for continuation of the case and possible prosecution.

PRESS RELEASE

CP SANI-OMOLORI VISITS AZARE FOR ON-THE-SPOT ASSESSMENT OF RIVAL GANG CLASH

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has today visited Azare, Katagum Local Government Area, for an on-the-spot assessment of the recent disturbance of public peace involving rival youth groups.

The Command received a distress call at about 0015hrs on the 5th July, 2026 from an anonymous good samaritan in Tsakuwa area, Azare, indicating a violent clash between youths from Tsakuwa and Matsango areas.

Upon receipt of the information, patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. The rioting youths were dispersed through the use of minimal force, and concerted efforts were made to prevent further escalation.

Further findings revealed that about 10 persons from both sides sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Federal University Health Science Teaching Hospital (FUHSTH) Azare, for medical attention.

Following the incident, the CP personally led a team of senior officers to Azare to assess the situation, engage community stakeholders, and evaluate the Command’s response. He commended the Area Commander, Azare, Divisional Police Officer, operatives of No.10 Squadron, Police Mobile Force (PMF), Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU), Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU), and Quasi-security outfits for their swift intervention which prevented loss of lives and further destruction of property. The affected areas and injured victims were visited. Homage was also paid to HRH Alh. Umar Faruq II, OON ,Emir of Katagum at his palace.

The Emir appreciated the Command’s professionalism in timely enforcement and restoration of law and order. He pledged the Emirate's support in identifying, apprehending and prosecuting the culprits using all the legitimate means.

The CP has directed sustained patrol and 24-hour monitoring in the affected areas to ensure full restoration of normalcy and to forestall any reprisal attack. He also ordered discreet investigation into the remote and immediate causes of the clash, with a view to arresting and prosecuting the ringleaders.

While calling for calm, CP Omolori urged parents, community/religious leaders, and youth groups in Azare to embrace dialogue and shun violence. He reiterated the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property and warned that anyone found culpable will face the full wrath of the law.

Normalcy is being steadily restored in the area, fifteen suspects arrested. Efforts are on to arrest more accomplices, while residents are advised to go about their lawful businesses as security presence has been intensified.

PRESS RELEASE

POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS OVER ARMED ROBBERY AND HOUSE BREAKING IN GADAU

Operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested two suspects in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, house breaking, and armed robbery.

On 3rd July, 2026 at about 1200hrs, a 28-years-old complaint, male, resident of Gadau Town, reported at Gadau Division that on 8th June, 2026 at about 0300hrs, five unknown hoodlums armed with cutlasses and other dangerous weapons broke into his residence.

According to the complainant, the hoodlums forced open his bedroom door, intimidated him and his wife with machetes, tied them up, and carted away valuables. Items stolen include one Jincheng motorcycle, five android mobile phones, ten sets of wrappers, the sum of ₦1, 000, 000. 00 cash, one cap, and three wristwatches, all valued at about ₦4, 000, 000. 00.

Upon receipt of the report, police operatives visited the scene and commenced intelligence-led investigation. As a result of diligent follow-up, two suspects were subsequently arrested. They are: Salisu Umar ‘m’, 20-years-old, of the same address, and Sadiq Shehu ‘m’, 20-years-old, of Azare, Katagum LGA. They undergone preliminary investigation at the Divisional Headquarters.

During an identification parade conducted, the complainant’s wife recognized and pointed out Sadiq Shehu as one of the persons who entered her room and forced her to open the main gate for the other accomplices.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has commended the DPO and his team and directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Bauchi, for discreet investigation.

He further assured members of the public that concerted efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining fleeing suspects and that all those found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law. The CP also urged residents to remain vigilant and provide useful information that will aid the police in curbing crime.

BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND
PRESS RELEASE

POLICE RECOVER STOLEN VECTRA OPEL, ARREST 3 SUSPECTS IN BAUCHI/GOMBE

Detectives of the Bauchi State Police Command have recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested three suspects in connection with the theft.

According to a situation report, on 29th June, 2026, the Command received a distress call from a good Samaritan reporting that an unknown person(s) had stolen a green Vectra Opel with registration number AH 232 AKK, belonging to one Mr. Mu’azu, a resident of Katsinawa Village, Jos Road, Bauchi.

Acting on the information, the DPO ‘E’ Division promptly mobilised his team and intercepted the said vehicle around Dorawan Dillalai. One suspect was arrested and the vehicle recovered.

In a follow-up operation, detectives from the Area Command proceeded to Gombe State where they arrested two additional suspects: Abubakar Musa ‘m’, 46-years'old, and Usman Abubakar ‘m’, 30-years-old, who were allegedly negotiating to purchase the stolen vehicle.

The suspects have confessed to the crimes and revealed that this is not the first time they committed such offence.

Furthermore, investigation is ongoing and all suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), commended the swift response of the operatives and the member of the public who provided timely information. He reiterated the Command’s commitment to clamping down on vehicle theft and other related crimes in the State.
