🤍 **Bravehearts Day**

Today, we remember the children whose voices have been silenced and recognise the people and organisations doing their part to protect them.

We celebrate Moyosore Flourish Passion and Purity Foundation, creating awareness around child molestation, and mummymarhosfoundation , helping children in the Ajah region build a foundation of stability, support and hope.

Today, we celebrate *their* brave work.

Follow their pages. Share their message. Support their work. Donate if you can.

Because protecting a child takes all of us. 🤍

Has love become transactional?

Today, a man's love is judged by how much he spends on a woman: the gifts he buys, the bills he pays, the lifestyle he provides. But is spending money really proof of love?

HIS MONEY, OUR MONEY?

Should a woman who earns her own money still expect her man to provide?

Should couples contribute 50/50 or according to who earns more?

We're debating it all at this month's Moms Round Table! đź‘€

HIS MONEY, OUR MONEY?

In many Nigerian homes, there is an unspoken expectation that a man should give his woman money even when she earns her own money, sometimes even when she earns more than he does.

But where does this expectation come from? Culture? Tradition? Society? Or the way we have been taught to define love and a man’s role in a relationship?

And when does “my man should take care of me” cross the line into financial dependence, entitlement or even transactional relationships?

We’re also seeing a worrying message being sold to young women: that dating a wealthy man is the ultimate goal, while money can be used to buy affection, access and even relationships.

So, where do we draw the line between a man providing for his woman and money becoming the foundation of the relationship?

Join us for our August Moms Round Table as we unpack:

HIS MONEY, OUR MONEY — Who pays? Who provides? And what does money mean in a Nigerian relationship?

Women like Cameron Diaz remind us that there is no one timeline for motherhood.

Whether you become a mum in your 20s, 30s, 40s or beyond, your journey is valid. Seeing women, especially those in the public eye, embrace motherhood later in life helps challenge the myths and stigma around age and fertility.

Let's celebrate the women who remind us that motherhood doesn't have an expiry date.
