THANK-YOU VISIT: KWARA APC CHAIRMAN, PRINCE SUNDAY FAGBEMI, LEADS APC 2027 CANDIDATES AND PARTY LEADERS TO OKE-ERO AS APPRECIATION TOUR RECEIVES MASSIVE RECEPTION

The Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi, on Saturday led the party's 2027 candidates and other top party leaders on a Thank-You Visit to Oke-Ero Local Government Area in appreciation of the overwhelming support, loyalty, and commitment demonstrated by party members, stakeholders, traditional rulers, and the good people of the local government during the recently concluded APC primary elections.

The delegation featured the APC Governorship Candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Alhaji Salihu Yakubu Danladi; the APC Senatorial Candidate for Kwara South, Prince Olalekan Adewoye; the House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Mrs. Florence Olasunmbo Oyeyemi; and the APC House of Assembly Candidate for Oke-Ero State Constituency, Hon. Mrs. Latifat Titilope Bakare, alongside members of the Kwara State APC Executive Committee and other senior party leaders.

The first point of call was the palace of the Aloffa of Iloffa, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Niyi Dada, where the royal father, speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers in Oke-Ero Local Government, warmly welcomed the APC delegation. He commended the party for conducting a peaceful, transparent, and successful primary election, congratulated all the candidates, and offered prayers for their victory in the forthcoming 2027 General Election. The monarch also reaffirmed the support of the traditional institution for peace, unity, and sustainable development across Oke-Ero Local Government and Kwara State.

As part of the appreciation tour, the delegation also engaged with labour unions, artisan associations, market men and women, religious leaders, youth and women groups, community leaders, party elders, and other critical stakeholders, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their steadfast commitment to the ideals of the APC and their invaluable support throughout the primary election process.

The delegation was officially received on behalf of the party in Oke-Ero Local Government by the APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Chief James Kayode Bamidele (Ojopagogo), alongside the Executive Chairman of Oke-Ero Local Government, Hon. Chief James Abiodun Fadipe.

Other dignitaries present at the event included the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Mrs. Ronke Mary Arinde; the member representing Oke-Ero State Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Joseph Olajire Bamigboye; the Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Ojo Olayiwola; the Speaker of the Oke-Ero Legislative Council, Hon. Babalola Taiye; Hon. Chief Kemi Oni Babatunde, Kwara State APC Executive Ex-Officio; members of the Legislative Council; the Director of Personnel Management (DPM); the Local Government Treasurer; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment; officials from the Office of the First Lady; state, senatorial, local government and ward party executives; ward chairmen, ward women leaders, local government women and youth leaders; as well as thousands of APC members and supporters from across the local government.

Party leaders from the three political districts of Oke-Ero also attended the event. They included Barr. Anthony Kayode Towoju representing Ekan District, Chief Titus Supo Ashaolu, SAN, representing Iloffa/Odo-Owa District, and party leaders from Idofin District, together with district executives, ward chairmen, ward women leaders, elected officials, party stakeholders, and supporters who turned out in large numbers to accord the delegation a warm and enthusiastic reception.

Addressing party faithful during the Thank-You Visit, Prince Sunday Fagbemi commended the people of Oke-Ero for their maturity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of the APC. He urged members to remain united and steadfast, emphasizing that the strength of the party lies in its ability to work together toward achieving another decisive victory in the 2027 General Election.

In his remarks, the APC Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Alhaji Salihu Yakubu Danladi, expressed profound appreciation to the people of Oke-Ero for the overwhelming reception accorded to the delegation. He reaffirmed the commitment of all APC candidates to provide purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership that would consolidate the developmental strides already recorded under the APC administration in Kwara State. He further called on party members to remain focused, united, and committed as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Election.

The atmosphere throughout the Thank-You Visit was vibrant and celebratory, with colourful cultural performances, music, and enthusiastic displays of solidarity reflecting the unity, strength, and growing confidence of the people in the leadership and vision of the All Progressives Congress.

The successful appreciation tour further reaffirmed the APC's strong grassroots support in Oke-Ero Local Government and underscored the party's commitment to recognizing the invaluable contributions of its members while fostering greater unity ahead of the 2027 General Election.
