As we celebrate children's day today, with pain in our hearts we want to celebrate these children in captivity. Their only crime was they went to school to get an education,
And adults who are saddled with the responsibility of protecting children are the same people assaulting these kids....
On this day we are reminded of the painful fact that children are not safe in our country, that children are put in the line of fire to pass a message, children who are to be with their parents in the comfort of their homes are in the bush being beaten to shreds for what crime exactly, oh I know! for being a Nigerian child, where the life of children have no value.
We cancelled our children's day event this year because we are not assured of the safety of the thousands of children we bring together every year to make beautiful memories with ...
Let this be a reminder that we are celebrating children who are either in captivity or are home but still captives of fear , not knowing if they will see their parents again anytime they step out to go to school..
Let this sink..
Children deserve every good thing...
All the joy in the world ...
Children are worth celebrating..
