Maham Emerges Substantive Provost of Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State has approved the substantive appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Josiah Maham as Provost of the Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin.

The approval followed the recommendation of the institution’s Governing Council, chaired by Prof. Christopher Piwuna.

Other members of the newly confirmed substantive management team are:

🔹 Mr. Likkopha Monday Goshung – Registrar
🔹 Mrs. Lubss Vivien Caleb – Bursar
🔹 Mr. Demi Michael Yil’ep – College Librarian

According to the Governing Council, the appointments took effect on September 7, 2026, and were made in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations, and conditions of service governing the institution.

The development marks a new chapter in the administration of the College as the newly appointed principal officers assume their substantive roles.

The results of such sustained engagement could potentially complement, and in some cases reduce the need for, a predominantly kinetic approach.

Very few people seem to understand that many of these bandits are themselves products of the same ignorance, deprivation, and social neglect that have allowed the crisis to flourish.

Understanding the circumstances that contribute to banditry does not justify murder, kidnapping, or the destruction of communities. It means recognizing that lasting solutions may require more than military action alone.

Dangote truck drivers have raised concerns over alleged harassment by newly minted retail investors following the launch of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals IPO.

One driver described the situation as “unbearable”, recounting how a man on a motorcycle stopped him and claimed ownership of the truck after buying shares in Dangote.

“Yesterday, I was offloading goods when someone came on a motorcycle. After greeting me, he asked, ‘My friend, how is our truck?’ I was confused. He then said he now owns shares in Dangote,” the driver recounted.

RETIREMENT SERVICE ✊✊✊

After years of dedicated service to God and the Church, Da Rev. Ezekiel B. Dachomo, Chairman of the PCC/RCC, is set to be honoured at a special Retirement Service organised by the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Regional Church Council (RCC) Ropp.

Rev. Dachomo is particularly known for his courageous advocacy for persecuted Christians in Plateau State, the Middle Belt and Nigeria at large. He has consistently used his voice to speak out against attacks on Christian communities, killings, displacement and the suffering of innocent people, drawing attention to the plight of victims and calling for justice, protection and lasting peace.

His willingness to speak when others remain silent has made his voice an important part of the conversation surrounding the persecution and insecurity faced by many Christian communities across Nigeria.

The retirement service is therefore not merely a farewell to a church leader. It is an opportunity to celebrate a life of Christian leadership, faithful service, courage and advocacy for the vulnerable and persecuted.

The service will hold on Sunday, 22nd November 2026, at 10:00 AM prompt, at COCIN RCC Ropp Headquarters Church, Gwol, Barkin-Ladi LGA, Plateau State.

As Rev. Dachomo enters a new chapter, we celebrate his years of service and the courage with which he has stood for the Church and those facing persecution.
