Dear Reader

Dear God:
Don't refuse me these two things before I die: keep dishonesty and lies far away from me, and give me neither poverty nor wealth.
Just supply the food I need day by day. Otherwise, if I have too much, I might become self-satisfied, reject you, and ask, 'Who is the LORD?' Or if I am poor, I might resort to stealing and bring shame on your name.🤲🏿

The words of the preacher in Ecclesiastic:

Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your w**e with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do. Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

A word from the preacher in Ecclesiastic-

Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
and you are on earth,
so let your words be few.

In a lawsuit the first to speak seems right,
until someone comes forward and cross-examines.
