For me growing up my mom was the definition of elegance and beauty. She carried herself with so much grace and poise. I always watched her get dressed before going to work, she was ahead of her time, she designed her own trousers, skirts and blouses and styled them with her charm.

“Can we all just take a moment to appreciate these colors and the brushstrokes?! I purposely tried to use contrasting colors and temperatures for this piece. It can be very hard to do that sometimes as the colors become grey easily and the lighting can feel odd. Color theory is super fascinating and it’s one of the reasons why I love painting. I bought a pack of these small frames from , they’re about 1.5 inches tall. The diamonds on the sides are my mom’s old chandla’s. The gold and grey combined gives the piece a bit of an eerie feeling of nostalgia.”
