I genuinely don’t understand why some people think someone else’s church attendance is theirs to judge.

If you notice that someone hasn’t been coming to church, don’t ask, ā€œWhere have they been?ā€ Ask, ā€œAre they okay?ā€

Not every absence is rebellion. Sometimes it’s grief, burnout, church hurt, or a battle they’re fighting in silence.

At the same time, showing up every Sunday isn’t the measure of someone’s walk with Christ. There are people who never miss a service, yet the fruit of the Spirit is absent from the way they treat others.

Our calling as Christians isn’t to shame people for drifting. It’s to love them, restore them, and point them back to Jesus with grace.

No one has ever been drawn closer to Christ through judgment.

If our words and actions don’t reflect His love, patience, and compassion, then we’re missing the very heart of the Gospel.

Before you question someone’s attendance, check on their heart. People need compassion more than criticism, and that’s exactly how Jesus met them.

What’s your take? Have we become too focused on church attendance and not focused enough on people? Let’s talk in the comments.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. Hope gives us strength, but hope alone is not enough. Every honest effort, every helping hand, every child we teach, every dream we choose not to abandon builds our future. Let us believe in Nigeria, but let us also do our part. Together, we can become the nation we all dream of. Happy Independence Day.
