Ogoni Stakeholders Back PINL Community Model to Secure Infrastructure and Foster Peace

Traditional rulers, youth groups and community leaders across Ogoniland in Rivers State have expressed support for Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) and its community engagement efforts to protect critical infrastructure and promote peace.

The Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) runs through parts of Ogoniland, and protecting it requires cooperation between communities and operators.

King Philip Osaro Obele of Eleme and King John Berenom of Bodo Kingdom commended PINL’s efforts to work with host communities. The President-General of the Ogoni Youths Federation, Engr. Legborsi Yamaabana, also urged the Federal Government to consider the model in discussions on oil resumption in Ogoniland.

Andoni Leaders and youths don’t make another mistake. I saw the blueprint and mantra of Luke Mobene, it is mind blowing.
