Our Financial Inclusion Report takes a closer look at what that journey actually looks like for women in Nigeria. Based on insights from 1,410 women, the report explores financial access, saving behaviour, financial security, resilience, and the gap between being included and being financially empowered.

We opened our doors to women founders participating in the Standard Chartered Women in Tech Incubator Program Cycle 7 for a Learning Journey.

The programme implemented by Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) Enterprise Development Centre was hosted by Solape Akinpelu, Solape Akinpelu CEO of HerVest. The session gave the participants a closer look at the realities of entrepreneurship from turning an idea into a business to navigating growth, making difficult decisions and building with a long-term vision.

For the Cycle 7 participants, the Learning Journey was an opportunity to take those lessons back to their own ventures as they work towards developing innovative, tech-led solutions and building businesses that can scale.

We’re glad to have been part of their journey and to have created a space where ideas could meet experience, and where women could learn from women.

A friendship that started on an HR platform turned into something even more meaningful.

Funmilayo Kunle-Omope, Olanma Jennifer Ijioma, and Abiola Sobola created a HerVest Cliq to keep each other accountable, stay consistent with their savings, and make progress towards their financial goals.
