We visited Nagano during winter and of course we had to visit the Jigokudani Monkey Park (also known as Snow Monkey Park). It is the only place in the world where you can observe wild Japanese macaques (snow monkeys) bathing in natural hot springs.
It was a huge challenge to capture them while a snowstorm was going on but we had to try and this was the result.

Extra info to remember: December to March is the best time to see monkeys bathing in the snow!
One of the only 3 existing Chinatowns in Japan🇯🇵
The Yokohama Chinatown is so worth the visit and add on to your itinerary. The amount of food you can try and things you can do is just endless!

Fukui is in the Chubu region of Japan and it is barely visited in comparison to places like Tokyo and Kyoto, but it has so much to offer!
From the most beautiful coastlines, to dinosaur themed cities and one of the most beautiful temples we have ever seen in Japan. It still maintains a lot of Japanese culture intact and the experience of driving here is unmatched!
These are some of the things we recommend checking out if you ever venture out this way! Let us know if you had ever heard of Fukui and whether you would add it to your itinerary!

A mere 1h50 minutes away from Tokyo, this place is absolutely magical. We come back here everytime we can because it is so worth your time. Time stops here. You are surrounded by nature and calmness and yet you can still have a glimpse of the sheer power of Mount Fuji in the distance.
It is a great reminder of how beautiful and powerful nature can be🍃
